The Norfolk Churches Trust, a registered charity, was established in 1976, with just £300 borrowed from the Norwich Society; its aim, to protect through financial aid and advice the churches and chapels of any Christian denomination in the county of Norfolk, or the Diocese of Norwich. Since that time, the Trust has granted more than £6.7 million to parishes within Norfolk to enable them to arrange urgent repairs to their buildings.
